All About Bill's Prints
Taken from The Modern British Gallery - "http://www.modernbritishgallery.com/detail.asp?id=318"
Born in 1951, Bill Payne’s work combines the influences of Graham Sutherland, John Piper and John Knapp-Fisher. This is not surprising as his life’s inspirations have been Pembrokeshire, Cornwall and South Devon. Now based in Worcestershire in view of the Malverns, Bill Payne’s work produces a vision passing somewhere between abstraction and precision, combining accident and control, using the vocabulary of the English Neo-Romantics.
